Rhythm & Roots Bookings Now Taken

The booking office for the 2008 Rhythm & Roots Festival (May Bank Holiday weekend) is open from today onwards. Advertising has been done around Kilkenny for the past few weeks while John Cleere has been keeping the KilkennyRoots.com site stoked with details on this year’s festival acts.

I’m delighted to see the River Valley Band (fresh from a recent appearance in Cleere’s Theatre) have been included in this year’s festival billing, the energetic rockabilly loving five-piece will play two dates in this year’s festival - Kytelers on Saturday May 3rd at 10pm (free admission) and Egans on Sunday May 4th at 10pm (free admission)./
