20 Bulls And A Chilled Out Podcast

Barring the sounds of melodic hardcore, death metal and power-pop indie rock, you could be forgiven for thinking that you’re listening to a very chilled out podcast for Sound System 37.

We’re back into the podcasting for 2008 and it’s myself and Daw on the mic this time, in the wee hours of this morning (finished up recording shortly before 1:30am). Given the late night nature of the podcast, it was feet up for a chat about local music and a few cups of tea for the first podcast of the new year.

There’s talk of anything and everything from Saving J’s new single release, Majella Murphy’s meteor nomination, the Choice Music prize, Atrax Mantis, property in Ireland and France, people “doing it for yourself”, the rumours that former F1 commentator Murray Walker is a hardcore metaller, flashbacks to the Wilt 2FM sessions and plenty more besides.

There’s also music from 20 Bulls Each, Atrax Mantis, Decadation and Saving J.

It’s good to be back.
