Some good press coverage surrounding KilkennyMusic.com in the papers this week (namely the Kilkenny Voice). If you haven’t picked up a copy of it already this week you’ll find around page 12 or so an indepth article looking at the recent discussion thats been going on in the forum and in Kilkenny in relation to the cutting of bar times from 2:30pm to 1:30pm, something which looks like it could be extended through the summer.
Turn to page 22 and you’ll meet Ross (Costigan), KKM staffer and resident photographer whose gallery on oss237.com turned 1 this past week. If you don’t know of Ross’ work already just feast your eyes on the KilkennyMusic.com gallery for shots going back to Ross starting with KKM in 2006.
Flick into the entertainment section and you’ll get a good full page article and photo on Reemo. Who are Reemo? Well they’re on this weekend with KilkennyMusic.com in Cleere’s, doors open about 9.45pm with the gig starting at 10pm. They’ve got quite a name for themselves, previously took ‘Best International Band’ in New York and they’ll be joined by the Secret Police at the weekend - should be a cracker of a gig, great way to start the summer series.
