In May you can either wait for some chap called vega or wait to explode, the choice is yours but Waiting For Vega, who played with KilkennyMusic.com in Cleere’s (their debut gig and debut appearance in Kilkenny) are making a return to town with an appearance at the May 6th Underground.
The ghetto-tech four-piece (well, they’re not ‘ghetto-tech’ now really, are they!) return with Eyes Closed in support and are promised a great show for their second appearance in Kilkenny. The lads have a busy month ahead of them with the Kilkenny gig on the 6th before heading to the Cruiscin Lan in Cork (with Mantra following in support) on the 20th, the Voodoo Lounge in Dublin on the 21st and the Voodoo Lounge again on the 28th.
Hard to nail down their exact musical styling, it draws from punk, rock, metal, progressive, emo - everything - comes out the other side and is brought to the stage by four lads who have energy in abundance. You’ll be certain to hear waves of A Perfect Circle and Incubus in there anyway but if you’re around on the bank holiday and the Rhythm & Roots isn’t your thing, you can let your hair down with Waiting For Vega and Eyes Close.
