It’s one of the best tour names I’ve seen in a while anyway, TKO’s ‘Tour For The Sake Of Touring’ and it rolls into Cleere’s Theatre this weekend.
It has also been quite a while since I’ve (Ken) seen the lads in action, the first and last time I met up with Mic and the rest of them was at the South East Rocks CD launch, also in Cleeres, last summer and they sure as hell didn’t disappoint last night. Fueled with a massive energy and mysterious celtic rock twist, the lads are traveling around the country on a 13 date tour in the ‘Best’ and bring Kieran McMullen and Kilkenny’s own Maurice Ramsbottom with them when they arrive this weekend.
Already this month the lads have played in Belfast, Wexford, Carlow, Galway, Dublin and more and continue after this weekend at
- Saturday 7th April - Temple Bar Music Centre, Dublin
- Thursday 12th April - Dolans, Limerick
- Saturday 14th April - The Stables, Mullingar
- Saturday 21st April - Spirit Store, Dundalk
If you have the chance on Saturday, do yourself a favour and show both TKO and Maurice a bit of support and pay a visit to the back room in Cleere’s (and Kieran as well!). Reckon things should get underway around 9 or half past, check the poster in the window of Cleere’s if you’re passing.
