Kilkenny Metal Promotions are back! On Friday the 2nd of May Dublin’s Brutal Death Metallers Warpath, Kilkenny’s very own Brutal Death Metallers Atrax Mantis and Limerick based Thrash/Death Metallers Victim X will crush The Zoo.
Warpath who last played Kilkenny 2 years ago supporting Slave Zero have jumped in strides since their last visit. Since then the band have released the debut album “Gorefare” which received rave reviews from many acclaimed metal magazines, Warpath have also recently released a music video for the title track from the new album Gorefare which is available to view here on YouTube.
The band have supported acts like Unleashed, Belphegor, Napalm Death and have a upcoming show with Death metal legends Obituary. Also Warpath have recently announced that they will touring internationally in 09 with “Lividty”.
Atrax Mantis well known to Kilkenny metal scene are fresh from the studio recording they’re new EP “Condemned to Hatred” which is due for release in July when Atrax will be touring Ireland (some dates are online and there’s more to be confirmed). Atrax won Kilkenny Battle of the Bands in 07 and have many plans for the future including a music video, plenty of gig dates and lots more. Atrax have played with bands like Sanatorium, Abysmal Torment and Death Metal legends “Desecration”.
Victim X are a four piece metal outfit from Limerick, Ireland. They’ve been together since February ‘05 and are slowly making they’re way around the country. 06 saw Victim X play the Sligo whiplash festival. they’ve supported many Irish acts such Mass extinction, Slave Zero, For Ruin and Primal Dawn.
