Ilya K Unleashed This Weekend
Ilya K are three individuals on a quest for a common goal. The goal? To “write, record and perform great original music”.
Since the first time I met the band (over 2 years ago now at this stage), I’ve continued to be impressed by their musical endeavours.
Things paid off for them last year as they were crowned winners of the Murphy’s Live competition (last summer). As as result, they got to release ‘Empire Is A Cave’ on FIFA REcords last November, the idea being to release their debut album early this year.
They do have a new single on the way, ‘The Pink Blood’, and they’re also flat out gigging for the next couple of weeks.
One of those gig stops takes them into the city this Saturday night as they’ll be upstairs in The Pumphouse. If you’re around, drop by, you won’t be disappointed!

You thought? Feckin missed it afterwards. Have seen them a bunch of times and they’ve never let down - but will have to catch up with them soon!
yeah man brilliant gig! opening band were fantastic aswell,Ashley sheenan and the mute i think it was,brilliant stuff!
Good crowd there? saw a bit of them in Cork last week, really good live act but the music wasn’t really my cuppa coffee.
