Kilkenny’s Engine Alley return to the stage in Cleere’s on Friday June 8th before doing their first show in eight years in Whelans in Dublin on June 9th. The band line up consists of the 3 original members, Canice and Brian Kenealy and Eamonn Byrne along with drummer Paul O Byrne. The boys have been reconvening for a couple of gigs a year, mostly in Kilkenny, since their 1990’s heyday.
The set list will consist of tracks from their 2 released albums, A Sonic Holiday and Shot in the Light along with material from their substantial unreleased catalogue.
The gigs have evolved over the years and a you can expect the music to take a few tangents here and there and Canice to be as exuberant and unpredictable as ever.
Don’t miss this chance to see one of Ireland’s more unique and left of kilter melodic outfits and no, the make up is definitely not making a comeback!
