Two acts that have previously played under the KilkennyMusic.com banner have made it through to the final five of the Vodafone Bright New Sounds competition. The 79Cortinaz and Chaplin (we’ve had frontman Ian Doyle guest twice at the One Take Sessions) will both take to the stage in the Tripod in Dublin this Thursday night alongside Star Turtle, Super Freakz (Belfast) and The Minutes.
The 79Cortinaz have a bus running from Carlow which leaves the fountain at Haddon’s carpark at 6pm Thursday, leaving Dublin about 1am to return home. Tickets for the event are free (see BrightNewSounds.ie) though you’ll have to pay for your bus up. If you’re interested, check this thread on the forum or contact the band on MySpace.
