I’ve been meaning to post about this one for a while but in case you haven’t already heard, Kilkenny’s got a brand new festival. The Dysart Festival takes place this August 9th (coincides with the opening weekend of the Arts Festival in Kilkenny) and already there’s a pretty strong bill.
Visitors to Dysart in Thomastown can look forward to seeing the likes of Jools Holland, Blind Boys Of Alabama, John Martyn, Gemma Hayes (TBC) as well as acts like The Flaws, Clive Barnes, Dirty Epics, Dali, Ham Sandwich, The Minutes and more.
So far there’s two stages / stage areas, a comedy tent planned and more Irish and international acts yet to be announced. Tickets are currently available at Rollercoaster (Kieran Street), the Watergate Theatre (Parliament Street) or Carroll’s Bar in Thomastown. Tickets should come available via Ticketmaster shortly. Early-bird price for tickets is currently €55 for the day.
See more on the festival at DysartFestival.com.
