Awww yeah. Chemical Brothers have been added to the lineup for this year’s Electric Picnic (says I with my ticket pinned to the wall at home so I don’t lose it). Should make up for Daft Punk being hauled to Oxegen.

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS - LATEST LINE-UP ANNOUNCEMENT
“While Bjork’s collaborators on the excellent Volta gleam with pristine of-the-moment-ness, the guest list for this equally fine sixth album by her fellow early Nineties dancefloor survivors has a lovably dusty look about it. There can be no ulterior motives for cameo appearances from Willy Mason or Fat Lip from the Pharcyde at this stage in the game, and even the slightly more modish Midlake and Klaxons are gleefully subordinated to the flow of a record which is probably the most exquisitely integrated single listening experience the Chemical Brothers have yet come up with”. The Observer Music Monthly
The Chemical Brothers (live) are back, are tipped as one of the Must-See acts of Summer 2007, and have just been announced for the Electric Picnic.
Nice to see the lineup getting a few more big name acts in there. Still, there’s three months to run before the festival hits anyway so no doubt we’ll hear a few more names being dropped in before too long.
