The last heat of the Battle of the Bands for this year commences today at 4pm. We’re a little unsure as to whether Kickstart are actually going to appear today with the likelihood that they’ve dropped out of the competition quite high but taking to the stage for certain on the final heat will be The Prix (played last year) and Pitch Black (a late entry).
The fewer bands today likely means things will run a lot quicker but you won’t be missing out on any music action. Chemical Addiction will be making an appearance today as their new found 3-piece and will entertain the masses while the judges hopefully sit somewhere all swanky for a slap-up meal to decide what bands are going through to the final.
Yes…. the finalists will be announced this afternoon.
Whatever the outcome of the judges decisions today we’d like to congratulate everyone who has taken part in this year’s competition. It has been great to be asked back once again to judge the competition and nice that the four of us are involved in it from the start this year. We’re a tough bunch to crack, that much is true, but the majority of bands this year have been giving it socks in all departments and hopefully today’s last heat will be no different.
We’ve yet to add up the scores across the heats (honestly) so note to The Prix and Pitch Black - bring your A-games with you this afternoon and see all y’all in The Zoo at 4pm.
