Live BOTB Updates via Twitter

Last week we trialled using Twitter.com to provide live updates from the Battle Of The Bands (without telling anyone we were doing it). Now, we’re telling you we’re doing it.

If you’re a Twitter.com user or not, you can surf to http://twitter.com/kilkennymusic to catch live updates from the judges’ table at the 2008 Battle Of The Bands in the Zoo Club.

Twitter allows us to post short and snappy updates to the web, something we’ve been using on a personal level for a good while but until last week hadn’t started using the service for KilkennyMusic.com. There’s a few changes being rung around KKM Towers, including a revamp of the homepage and how a few things work for mid-September - one of those new changes is the integration of Twitter updates to KilkennyMusic.com allowing us to provide on-the-fly gig coverage and updates when we’re out and about or on the road (as we are quite a lot of the time).

So, if you’re sitting at home for the day and want to follow the action for Battle Of The Bands, point your browser or mobile phone to http://twitter.com/kilkennymusic to get live text updates and snippets between 3:30pm and 7pm today.
