The Arts Office here in Kilkenny are looking for a few spare hands or anyone with a few minutes to spare to drop into 72 John Street and help put up a few postcards.
The ‘Postcards From The Edge 2′ callout received something like 8,000 entries - all on A5 postcards - and they’re trying to get them all on display in the gallery. If you can lend a hand in helping to put them up (maybe bag yourself a free cup of coffee at the same time, who knows), then drop into the Arts Office on John Street.
When they’re all done and done, they’ll be available to buy at 3 euro a piece and a select number of the works, many of which have been gathered from all over the world, will be put on auction. The pieces will be signed by the respective authors though the identities will remain hidden until after the auction. You could find yourself with a postcard piece of artwork worth a nice few euro!
