Ilya K

Formed in 2004, Ilya K have come a long way over the past few years. We first (KilkennyMusic.com) came across them in January 2006 when they put a whole new sound into Cleere’s, taking to the stage the first weekend of January (with support from the Happy Medium) and we’ve been a fan of their music since.

Its loud, experimental, progressive, funky - everything packed into a huge melting pot and poured out the other side as Ilya K. Flash forward to 2007 and they’ve had a slight change of band lineup but they’ve also made it the final of Murphy’s Live which could net them a new EP and management deal.

At this stage they’re no stranger to Kilkenny, finding a home for themselves in both Eddie Murphy’s in Thomastown and The Pumphouse where they’ve made regular appearances since the start of 2006.
