Biography

Decay are a Four piece Death metal band from Kilkenny, Ireland. Decay was formed in 2001 with T on vocals and guitar, Paul Walsh on drums Mark Brennan on guitar. But the group were short lived due musical differences and band spilt soon after.

But Decay still lived on, T reformed the band in 2002 with Paul Walsh on drums and new member Dave Byrne on bass. Decay was born again. In 2003 Decay played there first gig in front of a massive Kilkenny home crowd.The band tore the place apart and left the crowd stunned and bloodthirsty.

In 03/04 Decay ran into some problems with drummers, so after two year absence in 2005 Decay returned back again several crushing gigs. In one of which Decay introduced newest member Donagh Hatton on Guitar.

Today once again we’re drummerless so we’ll continue our search for a new drummer ontill then Dave and T will be rewriting ol material and writing new material.Decay shall return agian and we shall be far more brutal than before. Keep it Fuckin Death Metal - DECAY…….

Decay are a great band though somewhat on-and-off. T has found his feet now as the vocal man of Atrax Mantis and they continue to rise on the local scene. Maybe we’ll see Decay appear again in 2007…
