David Thompson

A drummer, guitarist, vocalist and more Dave Thompson is no stranger to the Kilkenny music scene. Having done the rounds in the early part of this decade with the likes of 27th Dream and on to The Silhouettes, Thompson has really come into himself since the latter stages of 2006 and 2007 with numerous gigs under his belt including a support to Nina Hynes on a recent stop-off in Kilkenny.

Thompson played the One Take Sessions with KilkennyMusic.com solo on January 4th 2007, returning a month later with the full band to support Majella Murphy on February 3rd and since has gone from strength to strength.

Songwriting from his early teens, turning 23 in 2007 you’d be forgiven for thinking he’s been around for ages, such is the quality and wisdom of his music. Honest lyrics, memorable hooks, drawing from a variety of life’s experiences, Thompson is one act you should not miss if given the chance to catch.
