Act of Vengeance stormed onto the Kilkenny music scene at the Battle of the Bands 2006. Inspiring vicious mosh pits and all out mayhem throughout the crowd. They picked up individual prizes for guitar, vocals and drums.

“We like to call ourselves power core, cos we kinda used to sound like a mix of metalcore and power metal. But, we are continually moving in a harder, more groove rythm direction with lots of harmonies and breakdowns.”

Act of Vengeance draw influence from bands such as: All that remains, Shadows Fall, Opeth, Killswitch Engage, God Forbid, Caliban, Pantera, Chimara, Lamb Of God, Machine Head, sikth,Nevermore, As I lay Dying, Bleeding Through, Arch Enemy, Blood Has been Shed and many, many more.
