How would you like to get YOUR band added to KilkennyMusic.com?
At KilkennyMusic.com we love working with bands in and around Kilkenny and from further afield. During 2006 we profiled 50 acts and we’re going to be profiling many more. Working with our PR staff we keep the people and music scene of Kilkenny informed with what YOU’RE doing and how YOUR band is getting on. If you would like to get yourself promoted in Kilkenny then we want to hear from YOU.
What do I have to do?
Until we add the new forms shortly (before the end of January) all we ask is that you prepare a profile by email including
- Your band name
- Your own name, a contact email and mobile number so we can get in touch with you should needs be. Your personal contact details are never revealed to the public.
- A band biography (preferred 100 word minimum).
- Link to your official band homepage and/or your band’s MySpace/Bebo page
- Photo or logo of your band
- MP3 (sending music is entirely optional but gives you a chance to get heard on the site and in the Sound System Podcast).
If you can get those details together and email bands@kilkennymusic.com then we’ll do the rest! We’ll announce you to the site, publish you to the homepage, get you mentioned in the blog and in the forums to start you off on KilkennyMusic.com. Nothing like a big welcome to the family!
How long will it take?
Once you get all your details sent in you can normally expect to be announced on the site and live in the artists area within 24 hours.
What are my benefits?
You get to work with a bunch of people who really know what they’re doing. We run live gigs, acoustic gigs, podcasts, online publications, blogs, mailing lists and more - and you can get covered in all of them. By working with KilkennyMusic.com and keeping in touch with the site you boost your own profile in the county, you get yourself in line for our range of showcase gigs, you get your music heard on the Sound System Podcast (available on iTunes) and you get the respect from us that hard working bands deserve!
