Between playing a single that doesn’t exist anymore, new tracks, old tracks, more pedals than you can shake a stick at, keyboards, laptops, superb technical drumming, vocals, bass and a whole lot more… .Skylight well and truely rocked the house and struck an immediate chord with a host of new fans tonight!

Joined by Carlow 3-Piece, 79Cortinaz, both band left the crowd in Cleere’s in pure awe as they made their mark on Kilkenny and Cleere’s for the first time.

There’ll be more on this later… but if you weren’t there, you missed a superb gig, and if you were there, you know you saw something special!!!

The Last Pint Pulled In Cleeres

Last orders have been called in Cleeres, as John Cleere himself is stepping down from the pub he has run since 1988. John will still be involved in running the theatre and there are loads of gigs lined up in Cleere’s yet… it’s not the end of the music, just the start of something new!

We’ll be there too this weekend with Skylight & 79Cortinaz, on November 26th with Kopek & Selwyn, and through December with The ‘Medium, Tribue To The Frames and many more to come.

I would like to thank John personally as I’m sure many would for the music he has brought through Kilkenny over the last 17 years and the music he continues to bring through the theatre, giving new bands and musicians a chance to showcase their talents in one of the country’s most hallowed music venues.

Thanks John!
